8-Days Kilimanjaro Climb Lemosho Route is adventure of life time, due to its good looks and remoteness. 8-Days Lemosho Route – Tour Program.
Arriving Day:
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport; meet by our knowledgeable driver-guide, after greetings and double-check your bags will transfer you to Moshi/Arusha town (45 minutes’ drive). The briefing will be provided by your Kilimanjaro professional and experienced guide. Your Kilimanjaro guide will also check your climbing equipment. Anything missing can be rented for you.
Day 1 : Drive to Kilimanjaro Londorossi Gate, Hike to Mti Mkubwa Camp
Our Climbing Lemosho Route 8-Days Itinerary begin today. You will commence with 6 km distance moving from 1830 m to 2650 m high through forest habitat. After 2-3 hours you will arrive at the camp where you will have overnight.
Day 2 : Hike to Shira 1 Camp
Soon after breakfast you will be trekking to 3500m from 2650m high moving 8km from the camp. It will take you 4-5 hours to reaching the camp where you will have overnight.
Day 3 : Hike to to Shira 2 Camp
Early in the morning after breakfast you will move the camp heading to the next camp at 3850m high passing through moorland habitat. This will take you 4-5 hours covering 8km to the camp where you will have overnight.
Day 4 : Hike to Barranco Camp
when you finish taking breakfast at the camp in the morning you will trek 8km more to reach the Barranco at 4000m from 3850m high at the camp. This is will take you 5-6 hours to reaching camp where you will have overnight.
Day 5 : Hike to Karanga Camp
you will have breakfast in the morning at the camp then hike to 4050m high moving 5 km from the camp. This will take you 3-4 hours through Alpine desert climate to reach the Karanga valley camp where you will have overnight.
Day 6 : Hike to Barafu Camp
your day start with breakfast then you will continue climbing from 4050m to 4700m high taking 3-4 hours to reach the Barafu camp. It will be the journey of 4km passing through Alpine desert to the camp where you will have overnight.
Day 7 : Hike to Summit, down to Mweka Camp
at the beginning of the day you will have breakfast then trek from 4700m to 5895m moving 5kilometers, where you will reach the summit and have some minutes. Then you will descend to 3090m high moving 13km taking you 5-7 hours ascending and 5-6 hours descending through Stone scree and ice-capped. Your destination will be at the camp where you will have overnight.
Day 8 : Hike to Mweka Gate, drive to Moshi
this day as your winding up you will be descending to 1680 m high passing through forest climate. This will be 10km taking you 3-4 hours to reach the gate where you will be granted trekking certificate and have celebration. Then you will be transferred to a hotel in town but you should remember to tip your guide.
